A breakfast of champions may help you shed pounds

Nurse practitioners at onsite clinics can help individuals lose weight, which may be more fun than people think. According to a surprising study conducted by researchers at Tel Aviv University, individuals who added dessert as part of a balanced, 600 calorie breakfast that also included protein, lost more weight than other dieters, and kept it off longer.
The scientists stated that the key is to indulge in the morning, when the body has all day to burn the calories. Study participants who ate a large breakfast with dessert lost 40 pounds more than those who avoided sweets altogether.
The individuals in the trial were clinically obese and divided into two groups. While both groups stuck to under 2,000 calories a day, one was given a 300 calorie breakfast, and the other a 600 calorie one complete with dessert.
The scientists found that the 600 calorie group lost more weight, and kept it off longer. Furthermore, these people reported experiencing less craving for sugary foods throughout the day, suggesting that the key to successful dieting may be a big breakfast.
