Engaging Individuals

Successful engagement of participants will:

Help them be responsible for changing their behavior and improving their health

Proactively address their emerging health conditions before they become expensive acute illnesses

The key to engaging employees is to provide them with knowledge of their health risks and solutions for managing them. For some, this will be the first time they have been told they have high-risk health conditions.

Employees will be introduced to the LivingWell Health Solutions program during Orientation Sessions where they are encouraged to ask questions about the program, meet the health care professionals, learn about the confidentiality and privacy of health care information, and sign-up for a Personal Health Evaluation.

A Personal Health Evaluation will include a health risk appraisal questionnaire, biometric measurements, and a venipuncture blood draw. Results from the screening come in the form of an individual Health Report Card, which clearly identifies each individual’s health risks. Each participant will also receive an individualized Healthy Life Plan to follow for the next 12 months in order to address and improve their health risks.

Employees may be offered a financial incentive to participate in the program. When a financial incentive is offered, LivingWell Health Solutions has, on average, a participation rate ranging from 70% to 97%.*
